Owner and Training Director, Courtney Bentley, is a Professional Canine Trainer and Behavior Specialist, certified by Starmark Academy in Hutto, TX.

Courtney completed Starmark's 12 week program, earning the Canine Training and Behavior Specialist certification, in early 2013. She went on to intern for the academy assisting (former)instructors, Rob Dunn and Jessy Gabriel, with teaching incoming students how to be professional dog trainers. This was followed by an apprenticeship with a private detection company training and handling drug and bomb dogs. 


To continue her education in training high quality working dogs, she has attended an apprenticeship opportunity with the highly respected Penn Vet Working Dog Center, in Philadelphia, PA. Here she continued to improve her Narcotics and Explosives detection work, and gained more experience with Search and Rescue and Medical Alert training. Courtney is very proud to currently be the only trainer to hold a Working Dog Training Certification from PVWDC, and was extremely honored to be a part of creating the apprenticeship program for the center. Courtney regularly attends courses and training seminars/workshops with world renowned trainers such as, Heather BeckMichael EllisBart Bellon, Ivan Balabanov, and Greg Doud, to better her understanding of canine learning theory and effective training methods.

Courtney has over 2,000 hours of formal training education to offer! the experience of the countless hours she's spent with the dedicated pet parents of Bold City K9. She has the passion, education, and experience to confidently offer the best services in the industry. Previously, she worked in the veterinary field and is Canine First Aid Certified.

Courtney is currently operational as a TSA Certified Explosives Dog Handler, with K9 Jack, in San Francisco.
